Sticky Continuous Processes have Consistent Price Systems
Under proportional transaction costs, a price process is said to have a consistent price system, if there is a semimartingale with an equivalent martingale measure that evolves within the bid-ask spread. We show that a continuous, multi-asset price process has a consistent price system, under arbitrarily small proportional transaction costs, if it satisfies a natural multi-dimensional generaliz...
متن کاملConsistent Price Systems for Subfiltrations
Asymmetric or partial information in financial markets may be represented by different filtrations. We consider the case of a larger filtration F – the natural filtration of the “model world” – and a subfiltration F̂ that represents the information available to an agent in the “real world”. Given a price system on the larger filtration that is represented by a martingale measure Q and an associa...
متن کاملSectoral Price Facts in a Sticky - Price
We develop a multi-sector sticky-price DSGE model that can endogenously deliver differential responses of prices to aggregate and sectoral shocks. Input-output production linkages induce across-sector pricing complementarities that contribute to a slow response of prices to aggregate shocks. In turn, labor-market segmentation at the sectoral level induces within-sector pricing substitutability,...
متن کاملConsistent Price Systems in Multiasset Markets
Let Xt be any d-dimensional continuous process that takes values in an open connected domain O in R. In this paper, we give equivalent formulations of the conditional full support CFS property ofXt inO. We use them to show that the CFS property of X inO implies the existence of a martingaleM under an equivalent probability measure such thatM lies in the > 0 neighborhood of Xt for any given unde...
متن کاملConsistent price systems under model uncertainty
We develop a version of the fundamental theorem of asset pricing for discrete-time markets with proportional transaction costs and model uncertainty. A robust notion of no-arbitrage of the second kind is defined and shown to be equivalent to the existence of a collection of strictly consistent price systems.
